COVID-19 crisis in Myanmar is also a huge challenge for all communities and the government while the world is in trouble. U Zaw Zaw, Vice President of Asian Football Confederation and Chairman of Ayeyarwady Foundation had served its contribution of one million USD to all area as much as it could since the crisis was alert in the country.
Led by U Zaw Zaw, the foundation at first contributed MMK 1,000 lakhs (69,000 USD) worth medical aids including medical supplies, hospital equipment and preventive materials to Waibargi Hospital and Yankin Children Hospital.
After its first step against COVID-19, the foundation constantly carried out the activities to help Myanmar hand in hand with the Ministry of Health and Sports, such as supporting centers of quarantine facilities, foods of daily meals for all of quarantined people, the health staffs, and volunteers, arranging accommodation for the health workers involved with their duties in the hospitals while fighting against COVID-19, covering health insurance for all the health workers in Myanmar, rice aids to all people in need around the country and carrying on its further contributions for the crisis.
