December 2, 2021Myanmar Squad announced: Full Squad for AFF Suzuki Cup 2020
December 4, 2021After the one month training camp in Turkey, Myanmar national team has arrived to Singapore on Tuesday (November 30) for their AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 tournament.
The Suzuki Cup 2020 is scheduled to be held from December 5 to January 1 and all members of ASEAN nations will participate in the tournament.
Myanmar will compete in group A of the AFF Suzuki Cup with host Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Timor-Leste. The Asian Lions will begin the campaign with the host Singapore on December 5, followed by a match against Timor-Leste on December 8, Thailand on December 14 and Philippines on December 18 respectively.
The two Myanmar internationals Hein Htet Aung and Aung Kaung Mann who played in Malaysian league joined to the Myanmar national squad for this AFF championship. Otherwise, midfielder Myo Ko Tun and goalkeeper Soe Arkar suffered injury in training and they might withdraw from the Myanmar’s squad.
Mr. Antoine Hey, the head coach of the Myanmar team will be announces the final squad for the Suzuki Cup, before the opening match against Singapore team on December 5.
As the preparing for this AFF Championship, Myanmar played four friendly matches during the training camp in Turkey trip. Myanmar defeated Turkey football club Manavgat Belediyesi 2-1 and Antalya Hal Spor 8-0, and they losing to Indonesia 4-1, and lost to Burundi 2-1 in their international friendly matches.
